Personnel

 

Cameron Pole PQS, GSC, is the President and Founder of Cost Planning Canada Inc. He is a Professional Quantity Surveyor and member of the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS). Cameron has extensive quantity surveying and construction experience. He understands the importance of cost consulting which is becoming more increasingly necessary in the construction marketplace. His experience in value management and cost planning enable our clientele to make sound investment decisions; while maintaining the objective of reducing and managing project costs without affecting quality.

Estimating at the earlier planning and design stages will involve several assumptions and rely heavily upon having access to similar relevant project information regarding the nature and type of construction project, which is where Cameron’s efforts will prove critical. He understands that our estimates and consultant advice can influence major project milestones and design decisions. With extensive experience in providing construction value management throughout Western Canada, he specializes in cost control, cost planning and estimating. He is also well versed in a variety of real estate developments and has worked in all building sectors with an emphasis on commercial, residential, civil, industrial and institutional projects.

Cameron has formed a team of highly motivated cost consultants, providing complete cost control, value management, cost forecasting and risk management services during all stages of project delivery. He is proficient and continually involved in the process with acute insight and a strong analytical mindset. 

 

Cameron’s passion resides in construction which originated on site over fifteen years ago. He has work experience in residential and commercial construction and has also been involved in large scale land development projects. Furthermore, he has experience operating farm equipment and working with livestock on his family’s agriculture land throughout Southern Alberta.
 

In pursuit of his professional designations, he was awarded the Buster Vermeulen Memorial Award for achieving the highest mark nationwide on the CIQS cost planning examination. He has also been presented the Gold Seal Certification (GSC) as an Estimator in General Contracting issued by the Canadian Construction Association (CCA). Cameron formerly attended SAIT Polytechnic where he graduated with Honours from the Civil Engineering Technology program with a Construction Management Major. During his post-secondary education, he received a scholarship for academic achievement, community involvement and leadership.
